Visitors to Cape Cod can view the region’s famous apex predators without having to go into the water during Shark Week 2024.
Mashpee Commons will host the second annual Shark Art Cape Cod show, a free exhibit featuring works from more than a dozen local artists showcasing paintings, sculpture, water interpretations and other works of art inspired by sharks and Cape Cod’s unique coastal ecosystem.
In addition to visual arts, the works of Cape Cod authors will be displayed on a “Book Wall,” which will also pay tribute to author Peter Benchley’s novel “Jaws” on the 50th anniversary of its publication.
Artist entry fees will be used to fund a donation to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy.
The gallery will be open daily from 12 – 7PM at 5 North Street across from Duke’s Donut Worx from Wednesday July 17 and extended through Sunday of Labor Day Weekend.
