Teacher Training Classes at Innerglow Yoga

Classes & Events at Innerglow Yoga StudioYoga is a process for learning about ourselves and opening to our fullest potential. It helps us to expand our awareness and transform our lives in ways that make us happier, healthier and feeling more whole within ourselves and in our relationships with others in the world. Embracing these basic values is the starting point for becoming a good yoga teacher.

Deepen your practice and learn how to share it with others as a certified yoga teacher through Innerglow Yoga‘s Teacher Training program. Teacher training offers, first and foremost, an opportunity to explore your yoga practice, learn what resonates with your physical self, and how to share your practice & discoveries with others. Participants in this program invariably experience a deep and lasting sense of personal transformation as all of the elements of yoga become clearer and better integrated as you explore every aspect of yoga in your personal practice.

Teacher Training Program at Innerglow YogaClasses meet once per month January through June. Friday sessions run from 5-9pm with Saturday & Sunday sessions from 9am-5pm. For those with changing availability, there is also an option to learn on your own schedule. Art Show at Woodruff’s Art Center

That's Amore“The Art of Transportation” includes works by 20 local artists interpreting transportation in various mediums. The artists’ work depicts an assortment of both traditional and unexpected modes of transport. All works are creatively rendered using mediums such as watercolor, oil, sculpture, and photography. The show will be on display through May 14, 2017.

Woodruff’s Art Center is open Monday through Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 11-5. In addition to showcasing local artists, Woodruff’s sells a broad selection of art supplies, offers custom framing services, and holds classes focused on various artistic techniques. Slow Vinyasa Flow at Innerglow Yoga

Vinyasa Class Schedule at Innerglow YogaStop by the Commons’ own locally-owned yoga studio, Innerglow Yoga for their Slow Vinyasa Flow yoga class. In this class, you and your instructors move carefully through the practice. Slowing things down helps us to pay attention to details such as alignment and awareness of where we are in our space. Paying attention to how breath is so intimately linked to each movement, we can begin to explore asana as moving meditation.

Patangali’s Sutras, traditional Hatha Yoga and Mantra are also interwoven into the class. The session ends with a guided relaxation as attendees explore the Subtle Body in Sarvasana.

This class relieves stress, and balances the nervous system. An antidote to the fast and busy pace of life, Yin/Yang Yoga is a class that balances Yin yoga with traditional Yang yoga. Yin yoga penetrates deep into the connective tissues in the body, which helps to strengthen the joints, aid in healing, and increase energy flow. Yang yoga is a more traditional hatha asana practice that develops muscular strength, stamina, and flexibility. You will leave class feeling more calm and grounded.

Moderate Vinyasa Flow Class at Innerglow Yoga

Vinyasa Class Schedule at Innerglow YogaStop by the Commons’ own locally-owned yoga studio, Innerglow Yoga for their moderate Vinyasa flow class. This class links yoga poses into a sequence of movements that “flow” with the breath. The postures lead naturally from one to the other while building heat in the body. Poses are held for multiple breaths to allow students to feel correct alignment and gain awareness of the body.

The first part of the class will contain a blend of sun salutations, standing and balancing postures, and core work. The latter part of class will include deep stretching to promote flexibility in the joints. With continued practice, beginners will gain experience and confidence, and more experienced students will be challenged mentally by moving deeper into the pose. Appropriate modifications and assists are provided to help students of all levels learn and progress.

Art Show at Woodruff’s Art Center

That's Amore“The Art of Transportation” includes works by 20 local artists interpreting transportation in various mediums. The artists’ work depicts an assortment of both traditional and unexpected modes of transport. All works are creatively rendered using mediums such as watercolor, oil, sculpture, and photography. The show will be on display through May 14, 2017.

Woodruff’s Art Center is open Monday through Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 11-5. In addition to showcasing local artists, Woodruff’s sells a broad selection of art supplies, offers custom framing services, and holds classes focused on various artistic techniques.
